Fed up with politicians

Why is it when politician run for officer there is something wrong with their character?  They are supposed to represent the people but instead, they represent themselves.  I see them debate about how they want to change or start something for whatever reason and there are times when I think... what in the hell does that have to do with representing the people? Or, I don't want that nor does someone else I know from a different view want what politician is purposing.  Just found out that Bidden is running for president.  Why?  Is he going to sniff his way through the campaign?  Trump??? did he grab his way through the campaign?  Did the Russians put the fix in?  Most may not get this but that seems like "The Sting" is on with Trump and Pence playing the role of Newman and Redford.  Don't even get me started on Hilary!   If I had more time I'm sure I could think of at least two dozen more people who are crooked.  I think, down to the core of a race, that running for office is not about issues rather, it's about who is more popular.  I believe that today's media has retarded what people say and do and they have picked political sides.  So much for free speech.  It's more like skewed speech. Why are Politicians always rich too?  Not that politicians need to be poor or average but it seems that money is king when they are running.  AOC seems to be the only average politician but then she comes off as an imbecile at times.  Part of that can be blamed on the media.  In the military, the goal is to progress through the ranks while doing your job.  Once you have done that then you either get out or retire. most will do this but there are some who will stay stagnant.  So, why do politician do the same?  I don't want someone who going to stay in Congress for 20, 30, or 40 years.  We limit the presidency to term limits, why not congress?  Don't even get me started on the 100% retirement pay.  I'll say this... it complete and utter Bullshit!  I used to like Biden but I have personal knowledge that he was a bit handsy.  Trump?  Well, at this point he was the lesser of two evils.  I know that doesn't make the situation any better but we can't start from scratch in the middle of a race.  The system won't allow it.  I'm sure if I were to run there are some people out there who would expose some skeletons in my closet.  So, you won't see me on a ticket any time soon. why can't people who run consider this?  normally I would say lets find a solution to the problem but I just wanted to rant.  "For the people" My ass!

Johnny Cash said it best!   I’ve been everywhere.   Being in the military I have traveled the world and learned and experienced numerous things while living abroad.    I have lived a life that most haven’t.   There are some in the military haven’t experienced what I have.   I got to live overseas for about 12 years and almost ten with my wife.   Living in the UK was fabulous. I have seen many fine works are art, the crown jews, Stonehenge, and Buckingham Palace to name a few. Allen's word of equality

My analysis of Danielle Allen's first part of her book is that she is talking about liberty and equality and the difference between the two. She hones in on equality and basically states that equality is the goal... it is better.  We want to be equal and we want freedom and liberty.  Equality is the fairness that we yearn for.  Equality is the treatment that transcends out of freedom and liberty.
